The final day of Summer in Sydney ended on a high for Arrowfield Stud with three (3) Randwick Group Stakes Race victories added to the records of their sires The Autumn Sun (by Redoute’s Choice), Castelvecchio (by Dundeel) & Snitzel (by Redoute’s Choice). Widden Stud’s sire TRAPEZE ARTIST is "flying" this season having added 12 black type horses to his resume after he sired two (2) new stakes-winners to his tally. SPICY MISS captured the Gr2 ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m) and booked her ticket into the Golden Slipper. Then shortly after, Perth 3YO gelding THE CRIMSON PIRATE won the Listed WATC Lex Piper Stakes (1600m). Whilst the previous week PIGGYBACK won the Gr3 Parramatta Cup.

A $133,000 prize cheque for winning a Maiden is HUGE money, the equivalent earnings of winning a Group 3 or Listed event. It was certainly the carrot for our team to aim our 3yo JUVENAL at Race 1: The Valley @ Southside Cranbourne Plate, a Moonee Valley meeting transferred to Cranbourne. The race carried total prizemoney of $60,000 with $33,000 on offer to the winner — but wait… there was more! An additional $100,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus was payable if the race was won by an eligible Inglis Sales Graduate.
